Gotlandssnus to release two new Jakobsson’s Snus Flavors

Jakobsson’s Classic Strong Portion Snus and Jakobsson’s Mint Portion Snus coming soon.

Swedish sources have confirmed the rumors are true concerning new snus from Gotlandssnus.  Official sources in Sweden speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that Gotlandssnus will soon be releasing two new products under their Jakobsson’s Snus line.

Jakobsson’s Classic Strong Portion will be a high nicotine version of the popular Jakobsson’s Classic Portion Snus.  We can not confirm but suspect is that the new Classic Strong will contain 14mg/g of nicotine and the higher pH levels also used in Jakobsson’s Wintergreen to boost free nicotine levels and provide faster absorption.

Jakobsson’s Mint Portion Snus is alleged to have 9mg/g of nicotine.  The taste profile will be patterned along the lines of General Large Mint Snus but will be an original portion as opposed to the white portion used in the General Large Mint Snus product.

Both new snus products will contain approx. 20 portions per can like the current Jakobsson’s Wintergreen Strong Portion Snus.

Test cans are already available of both with public distribution scheduled at or prior to Week 45, according to our sources in Sweden.  Both products are designed for the American market although the Classic Strong Portion may have viability in Norway.  Like the USA, Norwegian snus users prefer strong and extra strong snus.
