Snus Review: Nick & Johnny Red Hot Xtra Strong Portion Snus

Swedish Match has a snazzy new look for their Nick & Johnny brand. The can, as you can see in the picture, has raised lettering that looks as though it was sleekly brushed on by hand. I could see this snus can in James Dean’s back pocket…

Snus review of Nick & Johnny Red Hot Xtra Strong portion snusI’m going to be reviewing several of their unique snus flavors throughout several articles. I’d like to start with Nick & Johnny Red Hot Xtra Strong Portion.

Nick & Johnny Red Hot boasts a “medium tobacco flavor with a taste of chili and cinnamon” as is described on the label. Now, I really like this snus a lot.

The flavor of the chili and cinnamon is subtle at first, and then it comes on a bit stronger after the portion has been in for about fifteen minutes or so. It’s got a nice little spicy bite to it that you can feel inside your lip. You literally can feel some of the heat.

The chili flavor is just enough to accentuate the cinnamon. Through the flavors of the chili and cinnamon you can still get a good taste of the tobacco as well. When you see chili think of that spicy bite from a chili pepper. I’ve seen several compare the flavor of Nick & Johnny Red Hot to that of Redhot candies. I would have to say that is generally accurate, but without the sweetness of the candy, which I like.

I would definitely say that if you are a cinnamon fan, then I think you will enjoy this snus. It is a great snus for the fall and winter seasons. Nick & Johnny Red Hot pairs well with a pumpkin spice latte, a cinnamon hot cocoa, or even just your regular cup of coffee.

Overall I give Nick & Johnny Red Hot Xtra Strong Portion snus three and a half stars out of five. I encourage you to try a can. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Keep your eyes peeled for more reviews of Nick & Johnny snus brand coming soon.
