Hello all.. I was just introduced to snus. I started using Triumph snus to quit smoking and I did!!! Now they have pulled it off the market. I would love to find a replacement that tastes like it. Help in this area will be much appreciated.

Jwadde10, Welcome to the forum. General Mint, full size, not mini, should be a good starting point. Offroad Frosted maybe, you might also like the Catch Eucalyptus.

The regular portions will have more nicotine than Triumph did, the mini portions will be about the same as you are used to.

43 years old. Former Copenhagen dipper. Quit late last summer. Started snusing in Oct 2009 after I couldn't stand not having my vitamin N. Been an active member on a couple other sites for some months now, just activated my forum profile here. Still trying to find the signature form in my settings?

So Hello all. The layout here is a bit different but I think I can get used to it. Oh, btw I'm a happy customer with snuscentral. Actually placed only 1 order thus far but everything went smooth and very satisfied. Will certainly use in the future.

Oh, and I have my own little snus blogger set up at:

choosesnus.blogspot.com/

Feel free to browse around and leave some comments there. I also proudly advert and redirect folks back to this site via my RSS feed setup for latest posts and down under "Recommended Snus Resources", so I hope this was appropriate here to introduce my blog.

Happy SnuS'n all!

Hi Lazer, welcome to SnusCENTRAL! I know your blog. We have other bloggers here as well. Chad is a blogger, Dr. Snus and ClubSnus too.

What I see on the internet about real snus now as compared to a few years ago has changed dramatically...both for the good and the bad.

I think it's time to set up a link page which would include folks like you. PM me if you are interested in discussing. And welcome to the good side of Real Snus, Ron!

Re:Introductions 1 Year, 10 Months ago Karma: 7
Hello everyone...I've been looking over the forum a few weeks now and figure that although it's a sad day (FthePACT) for all snussers, I figured I'd post my intro before Obama picks up the pen.
I was a cigarette smoker (1-2packs aday) from 10-25years of age. I was able to quit smoking cigs easily, had to, they gave me a good case of chronic bronchitis. After I quit I have never had bronchitis again and my breathing was restored. Fast forward 10 years and I started hanging out with a group of friends who for the last few years get together to herf Nicaraguan, Hondouran, and Dominican cigars. So I have been herfing 3-5 cigars a week for a few years but can go 4-5 days without smoking. Because there is less reinforcement of nicotine and is absorbed slowly through the buccal mucosa(like snuss but highly carcinogenic) I am able to put down whenever I want. Last year I quit to see if I could for 2 months and did no problem. I still love cigars and even recieved an heirloom briar pipe from my grandfather. So I also occasionally imbibe in imported Danish and English pipe blends. I consider myself a connaisseur and know quite a bit about all things tobacco. Enter "SNUS".
I started using Camel "SNUS" after reading about Swedish and American Snus on wikipedia. I do not know how I arrived at the page I think I had been doing a lot of research on tobacco from it's beginnings to how it's grown and the wide range of tobacco blends and methods used for producing cigars. I was fascinated so I looked online where I could purchase this Camel "SNUS" as I had never heard of snus...and found that in the next state over NH they sold it in convenience stores. So I bought two tins of frost(peppermint lover here) and began using Camel "SNUS", 1 portion 1 or two times a week as I liked how it gave me a nic buzz which would further potentiate a stronger level of nic when used them in conjuntion to smoking cigars. I began to be worried because of the sugar content was so powerful in the Camel"SNUS" and after one can down realised it did not give me any headswims any more(high tolerance to everything). Now remember I smoke strong tobacco cigars containing ligero as primary filler as well as big-ring guage maduros in tandem with the C"SNUSS" and I was not satisfied. So I decided to make the leap a few weeks ago to the real deal Swedish Snus.
I have made a few orders from SnusCentral and they have arrived in a timely manner. I have enjoyed since then all kinds: Julesnus los, General Mint White, General Maxi, Oden's Licorice Ekstra Sterk Orig Portions, Gotslandus Yellow Original, General White potions, Catch Eucalyptus,
Thunder Frost Orig Portions...and a few others. I am still waiting on a can of Onyx which has been delayed by the manufacturers. I have a roll of Thunder Frosted los coming this weekend. I also made an order today for two rolls of Oden's Kanel Ekstra sterk los from another manufacturer because snuscentral does not carry it. Probably does not sell or bake well and is close to expiration. I plan to make a bunch of small orders(rolls)from snuscentral before the you know what takes effect, a whole bunch of General Extra Sterk los(for power)and General Mint for lighter nic. Any way I have an iron stomach and I am a guy who smells the can when told not to because I just can't help myself. The stinkier the better like a fine aged sweating stilton.
So my favorites so far have been the General Mint, General Maxi-very salty(strongest hit so far...prolly cause the high salt content raises alkalinity in the mouth and thin wide portions allow rapid release and absorption of nic(high boiavailablity of nic)...even more kick than Thunder frosted and Oden's, Ekstra portions(Can't wait for the rolls of Thunder Frosted los & Oden's Kanel los), & Julesnus(Both brands). I even double barrel the General Mint White Portions on occassion. Did not care for General White portions, Catch Eucalypyus, or Gotlands Yellow, but would not kick them out of bed and will use them as they are not horrible. I hear such good things about the Onyx...but I fear it's got that citrus, salty, pepper flavor like Gots yellow and General White. I do also recognize that taste changes and rotation of flavors is essential for a refined palate. I may love them in a momth. I do not like floral notes so I stay away from brands like Rape'
Anyway I'm excited about continuing to purchase snus from Sweden @ Snusscentral if they continue, even with the strict laws...I can take the hit and aggravation. I know it's more aggravating to the seller's so...that's life.
Only one complaint about snuscentral, there customer service is superb but half the cans I've already recieved have 1 month till expiration...I expected that with the sale on Julesnus but not the others. One of the two Julessnus brands I ordered actually had the longest expiry date of 6 months.
Sorry for the essay but wanted to chime in and get aquainted.
Keep on snussing
PS...I know I'm a los lover already got the hand pack and baking down, and the high nic levels and flavors are just right. No more sugar rushes from American "SNUS".

Welcome to SC Vinylcut. Nice name too I'm glad to see you are enjoying real Swedish snus more than Camel Quick Tip: If your snus is close to expiration you can double ziptop bag it and freeze it for up to year (some freeze it longer too)
