One of our members suggested that we give everyone a place to introduce themselves and tell their Snus story. So...here's your chance!

Well, I'll be the first to introduce myself. I'm Rob (aka, ThatSnusGuy and AirWoodstock on SnusOn) and I've been enjoying Swedish Snus since May 2008. I found out about Swedish snus while researching Camel SNUS which I used to quit smoking. Once I found out about Swedish snus from Mr. UNZ's Unloading Zone and SnusOn.com, I've never went back to smoking or, Camel. I love snus so much that, I have a blog that reviews snus from a newbie's point of view. I look forward to meeting alot of great fellow snussers here and, helping the new snussers on this great journey!

Happy Snussing!!

My name is Mick, or TBD on the other forum. I started with Camel and Triumph. Hoping to quit smoking for my daughters sake. She is asthmatic. She is also beautiful and 13. After a long separation(long boring story)I was fighting for custody. One thing is I had to give up the smokes.
Camel didn't taste good, and Triumph didn't have the nicotine to quell the cravings. Enter Snuson forum and The ZONE. I found true snus and cigs are a thing of the past, and that is something that didn't happen with patches, gum, pills or hypnosis. I enjoy tobacco. Thankfully snus allows me to enjoy it, without risking my daughters health.
Right now my daughter is peacefully sleeping the other room, I have a terrible cold and a Tre Ankare portion in my lip. Life is pretty damn good. Except the cold part.
The thing I love most about snus is the variety. I smoked Camels for 20 years. I can't decide on a snus I like well enough to order a whole roll yet. There are to many good/great options to limit myself.

My name is Justin. I live in Texas and dipped Copenhagen since I was 18 (I am 24 now). After five years with the Copenhagen I knew that I had a problem. I was addicted beyond control and my gums were hurting constantly, bleeding when I brushed, and receeding quickly. My father had been a avid Copenhagen user for 25 years and we both knew that we needed to get off it. Hearing about the Camel Snus sparked our interest, so we did some online research and came across The Unloading Zone and real swedish snus. After that first taste almost a year ago we have not gone back to the american crap. After using swedish snus for a few months my gums healed and stopped bleeding and hurting all the time. I love swedish snus because it is obvious that it is reduced harm, you can use it anywhere without anyone knowing, and trying new snus is always an adventure in itself. I am full throttle into promoting real sewdish snus so that everyone will know the truth, weather they choose to use that information is up to them. I have been telling everyone that will listen all about swedish snus and most people are very interested. Thanks to Mr. UNZ and swedish snus I know the truth and am much healthier and very grateful because of it.

My name is Sarah and im originally from Brisbane Australia. im 27, 6 foot and blonde.
I came to san diego a year ago to work for general atomics as a project engineer and uranium specialist.
I love it here and just received my green card, yay!
After growing up in a smoking household and vowing never to smoke when i grew up, i started smoking on and off at 13.
The cigarettes i smoked in Australia where a lot lighter then any of the cigarettes over here so i had to go up in strength.
Since then i have woken up in a fit of coughing, sometimes coughing up tar. Im an avid long distance runner which i cant do because im out of breath all the time and i cant take cigarette breaks at work and found myself getting cranky and agitated in the workplace.
After going online to research camel snus i like cedarchopper came across the unloadingzone and started reading and asking questions.
Within 3 hours i had made my first order at buysnus and thanks to James went down to liberty and brought my first 2 tins!
Although a bit strong i am loving the taste and the delivery method and look forward to trying all the flavors i ordered.

Hi my name is Magnus im 37 and I from Gothenburg, Sweden. Im on a new job since august 08, working as a IT project manager.
My snus career started with my father. (he were a avid snus user for almost 40 years, and is now free)
I thought its looked cool to "snusa" so I tested it when I were 14, however I puked after my first snus and didnt touched it until I were 19. After that im stuck. I just love to "snusa" and my favourite is General, sometimes I switch over to Röda lacket and Catch. The best snus for me is the morning snus before everything, breakfast etc, nothing beats that except maybe the first Snus you take when you have hold up for some time. The longest time I hold up were 1997-2000. It were easy, one day 1997 I growed boring of using snus so i told meself to stop using snus and insted begin to snus at new years eve 2000. So I did...Never forgot that first snus...ever..

My name is James, I'm 34 years old and have been a smoker since 15. Since starting using snus full-time several months back I've not had a cigarette. I was born in London, moved to Texas when I was 10, moved to California at 12 and have been in Minnesota the last 4 years.

I've been feeling much better since dropping the smoking habit and have been amazed at how easy it has been. I also like that I can get away with it at work.

Hi everyone my name is Brian and i am addicted to snus

I first found snus in the form of Triumph and used it to get through long days of school. then after my ex girlfriend started complaining how i always smelled like Luckies. i looked into other snus brands
finally finding Buysnus.com i ordered a try out roll and have loved it every since
ive been a snus-er for basically a year now.
i miss the ritual of smoking, but not the effects (smell death etc.)
favorites: J-Ice Fruit, Grovsnus svart, General onyx, skruf stark, anything los even offraod

dislike: anything offroad portion, gustavus, lucky strike snus(major let down no more brand loyalty here i guess) probe whiskey, and yes gotesburg rape (the fav snus of everyone else seemingly haha)
i love snus talking about snus and anything to do with the amazing tobacco
feel free to talk to me

Hi my name is Randy. I have been smoking since I was 14 and am now 52. I discovered Snus by chance about a month ago and have been hooked ever since. All those years of trying to stop smoking was accomplished in one week using Snus. I now no longer cough at night, my nose works again after all these years it is so wonderful. I did make the mistake of buying some klondike cherry blast, and the only way to describe that stuff is BARF. I would rather drink pepto bismol. If this is the future of american snus it won't get far. The swedes have it down pat, after 200years I think they have it figured out. I only hope we americans don't mess the whole thing up. To anyone wanting to stop smoking Snus will do it. I have tried several different brands and ONYX is at the top of my list. Didn't care much for the minty types.

Hi,my names Jeff. I'm 53,smoked since about age 11 and have been seriously trying to quit for the last 2 years. Done the patches over & over, the gum and most recently the lozenges. Its easy to quit,I've done it 15-20 times. Problem is within a couple weeks I'm smoking again. On my latest backslide a couple weeks ago I decided to try a can of Camel "snus" and though its much too sweet I haven't had a cigarette since and have had less urges than I did with any of the other things I've tried. Besides its definitely more enjoyable.

I did a little research which led me to The Unloading Zone and then here. I ordered thru Buysnus last Sunday and heres hoping that the holidays don't slow shipping down too much.

Hi my name is Jason, I'm 25 and have used snus for about 6 months. I was a smoker for 10 years and started to really feel it effecting my health especially when I would hike through the woods hunting and snowboarding. Snus has made me feel much better and I'm really starting to get back my health.

Hey I'm Jon. I quit smoking about a year ago by switching to nasal snuff and after my increasing fascination with Scandinavia and its metal music and viking history I heard about snus. After putting off ordering some for 6 months I got the courage to try it and DAMN. Im hooked now and went from snuffing every hour to having a pris in and only snuffing 3 or 4 times a day. I love all of the General portion styles and I use los at home. Everyone at work kind of looks at me funny (they all smoke) but 3 or 4 of my friends have tried snus and now they've switched too. Thank you Sweden for the Snus and Mr. ULZ for allowing snusers to get together like this.

My name is Billy and I am a Chief in the US Navy. I started Snusing a year and a half ago. Someone on my hookah forum introduced me to it and I have never looked back. I still Hookah a lot but have never smoked cigarettes. I have turned mostly to loose as the portions make my gums sore and I like the full flavor of the loose. I am happy to be here and look forward to a great forum.

Hello all, I'm Dave, aka toekuttr from Snuson and snuffdog from Snuffhouse. I've been a smoker since childhood so at 41, I've been a smoker for about 30 years or so. I quit smoking using snus almost a year ago. I eventually re-started smoking after about 4 months but continued snusing. I then discovered snuff and quit smoking again using that and of course snus too. I then started smoking again but continued using both snuff and snus. I've smoked the occasional cigar throughout the process, but it's cool cuz I don't inhale those much.

I don't know if I'm any better off than when I started, but I have totally stopped using Cope (did that too, didn't mention it) and smoke much less than before. I do only smoke RYO and simply enjoy it too much, but may quit again sometime in the near future. It's pretty easy to quit now with both snus and snuff now. I do enjoy both snus and snuff quite a bit though, and if push came to shove, I would choose them over smoking....probably. Nice site, lots of potential!

Hi I'm Mike (mjfst from snuson) and was a smoker for years-got introduced to snus last year and haven't smoked cigarettes since. My health is better and I found a tobacco product I can enjoy rather than tolerating which is what I did with cigarettes.

Happy snusing!
