I am new to the forum, I used to use a tin of dip, usually Copenhagen Wintergreen and then Cope Whiskey Blend. At home, 1 tin a day, at school, 1.5 tins a day. I recently decided to quit dip, but after numerous attempts of cold turkey, I decided to use snus, because I am scared of cancer but also the weight gain nicotine cessation causes, having once weighed 173 lbs at 5'1' (male) from 2008-August 2009, and from 8/2009 to now weighing 150. The weight loss occurred from May 2009 to August 2009, and occurred when I upped my dip intake along with low carb diet, heavy diet caffeinated soda drinking, and exercise.

I did use snus for a period, but I found it weak and made time go slow. When I use it now, I use two bags per snus session. Anyone else use two? Great to meet you all.

Yeah, it's pretty common to double barrel it. I'd also recommend trying some Extra Sterks, which typically have 16mg of nicotine, as opposed to the 8 in regular portions. But, really, just do whatever it takes to succeed, and worry about cutting back later if need be.

Since Extra Sterks came on the market I find I double barrel less than I used to. I still will while using mini portions. Sometimes triples.
I used a can of Cope a day back when, but find a 1/2 can of snus is about right now.

If I forget to take a can of Ekstra Sterk snus with me, I'll pop in two "portions" of a regular strength snus. I'd say we all double barrel from time to time.

yup. we all do it. lol. i know i do, especially with minis or when i have a killer craving. its normal.

I pretty much use only Sterks now, but even so I have to double barrel them from time to time.

if i did that i would get a headache..... to much vitamin n isnt good. lol.

Too high a tolerance isn't good either.

Exactly! Try using the los. It gives you the nic spread out in your lip for a better result. Even using the 8mg in los is stronger than some sterks.

Damn straight! I used to brag when I was younger because I had a high alcohol tolerance. I used to go on about how I could drink 12 beers and not bat an eye.

My brother set me straight. "You think it's cool to have to drink twelve beers to catch a buzz? That just means you spent more money than you should have, dumbass!"

When I need it that badly, it's always a fat pris of los which amounts to 2 or 3 portions.

same here. i packed in a small palmfull before.... it didnt work as well as i hoped it would.

Actually that's is a lot of why I quit drinking, heavily. ( I quit totally for almost 10 years, now I have a bit now and then. I've had less than a 6 pack of beer and 1/2 a fifth in the last 3 years.)
Anyway, I woke up one morning wrapped around the porcelain god, realizing that I just chucked a $500 paycheck into the shiny whiteness. I quit that morning. It was a WILD night though..... What I remember of it.

I couldn't afford to drink anymore personally. Five fifths of Cutty Sark and five or six twelvers of PBR was almost 150.00 a week, more than I was spending on cigarettes.
