If any part of PACT is indeed ruled unconstitutional, what will that mean in the long run, in your opinion?

I heard about that, but the restraining order is only good for the Seneca nation. BUT, if the law is found to be unconstitutional, then it will probably be repealed.

Meanwhile, everybody has gone out of business. The damage will have already been done. Thanks for putting anyone with an internet related tobacco business out of work, Mr President, you evil commie bastard.

Even though it's only on hold for the Seneca nation, it's still a glimmer of hope.

This should have been in the courts way before now. Before anybody was forced out of business.

I would love to see reasonable shipping rates again.

FEDERAL DISTRICT COURT ORDERS A TEMOPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERCIA, PREVENTING THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE PACT ACT

As many of you know, the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking Act of 2009 (PACT Act) went into effect today. This act prohibits the mailing of cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, RYO/MYO tobacco, etc. This was the worst possible news that we could have received as this means that we cannot serve our customers in the fashion that you have become accustomed to.

This week brought some great news as Federal district Judge Richard Arcara allowed for a temporary restraining order preventing the enforcement of the act. A hearing has been scheduled for July 7, 2010 in the United States District Court, Western District of New York.

Until further notice, we once again are accepting orders for smokeless tobacco, leaf tobacco, snus, and RYO/MYO cigarette tobacco in addition to cigars and pipe tobacco. You may begin placing your order through our web site today; however, there may be a delay in shipping your product until we are able to rebuild our inventories of products and supplies.

I've been bitching about this thing far worse than maybe I should have. Aside from the shipping, my state only charges 2.70 a roll in taxes. It's way better than some of what you guys have to pay, and we're all pretty fortunate if our state allows delivery. I know three states that are pretty pissed right now.

On the other hand none of us should be having to go through this crap. I have no problem ordering from Sweden if there was an option other than UPS who charges you a fifty dollar brokerage fee or whatever.

McCain and the Repubs would have signed it too.

That's the main reason I didn't vote for McCain either.

I love you, man! In a non romantic manly type of way.

I am so done voting for the lesser of two evils. I will vote for the guy who comes closest to my personal beliefs. I don't care if I'm "throwing away my vote", maybe if enough people follow my lead the parties will learn. Look at the last election, we had no choices beyond the "approved " non candidates. Was McCain the best or the safest choice? Was Obama the best choice or just the one whose past could be buried enough?
