I alternated snusing and smoking when I first started. I liked my cigarettes but they were so expensive I couldn't afford to smoke the pack or two a day I was accustomed to. Once I had been using snus for a couple of weeks and I knew that it was something that I could do for the rest of my life, I went to the store and bought what I knew would be my final pack of Camels. When that last cigarette was gone, out went the pack, out went the ashtrays, and I never looked back. Haven't wanted one since then.

One thing that helped me? Google Image search mouth cancer, lung cancer, etc. If I ever started to feel like I may want to smoke again, I just look at all the terrible cancer propaganda out there and that reaffirms my faith in snus.

Please forgive my lack of a reply.

As some of you know, I'm in China. The internet here (for me) is less than reliable. My charger also broke... and I had to try to locate one that works for a Gateway laptop (which I guess they dont make anymore?). On top of that I've been busy with work, and I was away in Hong Kong with no computer.

Oh man I laughed so hard the first time I read the "hit by a bus" snus in honor of Larry, then someone had to find a picture of someone "hit by a bus", then someone had to suggest photoshopping it,....now we have the final product, I have laughed out loud (sitting by myself) at least 4 times now in this thread, I am in stitches here. I have to leave this on my brother's laptop, I am sure he will get quite a kick out of it, you people are hilarious...

As for the original post, I myself wonder if I should snus for the rest of my life. I think it's not good to be a slave to anything, but we have to pick and choose our battles, and if you can justify and limit your use to a level of moderation that suits you (be it 0 or more), without any feeling of guilt or dissapointment, that should be golden.
