I hated them at first but I have grown rather fond of the 1847 white portions :D

The 1847 white is awful, the regular 1847 is a bit better. I get a can in trade now and then and I'll use it, but definitely wouldn't pay good cash for it.

Philip Morris 1847 White Portion is one of my favorite snus's and has been for quite some time. It has a full rich flavor and has never disappointed me.

Even though I'm now a big fan of the Strong and Extra Strong snus's, 1847 has and will remain in my permanent rotation. If you like a full flavored, tobacco-centric snus not dominated by salt, this is a must-try!

Speaking of cans, now that Swedish Match is taking over production of 1847 as part of their joint venture with PMI, the current cans could become collectors items!

The can sold me on this one as it is a very nice steel can, the best I have ever seen, just could not get into the flavor of this one which was a bummer as the container is a site to behold. I am not sure how to describe the flavor on this particular snus as it was bitter the moment I put a portion in and tasted weird. The portions were very dry and a tad rough as well. Buy it for the can if anything. A no go for me on taste alone.
