Been curious on this for a few months How does Swedish Match decide which ones to just put in the can versus the ones that get the star pattern?

My understanding is all the full size white portions go in the Star formation, including Onyx.

I remember Julls saying in one of his reviews that the star pattern is for SM's "elite" snus. I suppose top quality snus gets better handling/packaging. The star pattern sure beats offroad's "cramma-jamma" method

I don't understand why General Mint isn't in the star pattern. It's a white portion and full size...

it is kindof odd. the only ones ive run across as of yet that were in the star pattern are n&j black, onyx, and catch eucalyptus.
